Has anyone used the S & W racecars subframe kit for thirdgens and the mufflex y-pipe? I was wondering if the y-pipe will fit with the cross-member for the torque-arm that comes with the subframe kit.

Hasn't anybody used this set-up? If anybody has any good pics of the mufflex y-pipe installed on their car, other than the ones on the mufflex website that would help me out a ton, especially from mid-tranny back.

irocrdracer, i see that you have a spohn torq arm. do you have any pics or advice for fitting the mufflex y-pipe and spohn torc arm
spohn told me it won't work.

 

The torque arm is not the issue-the MOUNT is the problem. You have to fab the drivers side pipe to clear (go under) the crossmember. Quite a hack job, especially on a lowered car.

I don't have any pics because it isn't a pretty sight! It will fit if your car isn't lowered, but remember-the Y pipe will go UNDER the trans crossmember-if you get the whole Mufflex system, you can adjust a little on the collecter pipes to make it work.
