i just picked up a 89 rs v8 for 600 and its running rich . . . not sure whats causing it can anyone offer some advise, also when i start it some somke comes out of tailpipes is it all from same problem ? TIA

 

Is the service engine light on? If it is, I know Autozone can check the code and see what's causing the problem. It could be the oxygen sensor or fuel pressure regulator. As far as the smoking on start up, its probably the valve guide seals gone bad, letting oil drip into the cylinders when the engine sits for awhile.
