roll cage vs sfc's

I was thinking last night that since a roll cage ties the whole frame together if you put one in would there still be a need for sfc's?

They wouldn't hurt...

It would be like an extension of the rollcage, just under the car. Mine has both and I like the feeling that the car couldn't be much stiffer
