replaced fuel pump. now whats wrong?

this on the 82 with TPI

replaced the pump.. and its running. im getting 45 psi at the rail with key on but engine off... when i go to start the car it drops to below 30 psi and car runs for maybe 2-3 seconds then dies.... is there maybe air in the line? maybe i have a kinked line?

ive been trying to get it to stay running for maybe 15 mins and it still trys to run then dies... i dont know what else to do

when i have the key on but engine off i hear gurgling at the fuel rail.. you think maybe my fuel pressure regulator went out? CAN they go out? lol

i just wanna go throw the car off a cliff

Clogged fuel filter, clogged rail, bad FPR. Get an adjustable and see wat happens

I would say this sounds most likely like the FPR going bad as mentioned above, clogged line or filter would probably effect the idle whe in park/neutral as well. I imagine this could potentially be a computer problem of some sort as well. I would also see if it has any codes being thrown and what those codes are, see if you can get your hands on a scan tool and keep it plugged in while you are testing and see what you find out there. Sorry if this has been little help, but those are the directions I would go in.
