regaining some luster and shine????
regaining some luster and shine????
so guys, i was just wondering,, im sure all of you have seen the pics of my car by now under the ( honest opinion body) blog here,, should i bring this car to a detailer,, or a body shop to try and brightin up and salvage some luster out of that paint job,, do u even think by the looks of it it can be done??? and what about the rims,,( mind u i have no patience for this detailing refinishing stuff) id rather pay to get it done carefully then me rushing and foocking it up lol,, let me know
In the pics your car look perfect. But I can imagine its got normal wear in person. If I were you I would just get an "ultra fine compound" and apply/remove it just like wax by hand. Then wash it. Then use normal wax after a couple days to really make the car shine. Do it yourself since it is a white car. Its a very forgiving color. Avoid wax or compound on the hood louvers at all cost. I wax mine but you gotta do it a certain way or it looks horrible.
An ultra fine compound is good to use on mildly oxidized paint. I'm assuming it is.
EDIT: I also had an IROC with the rear louvers and waxed it. It was so shiny. But again its a lot of work to do it.
