I just bought a 1991 RS convertible, and was fixing the automatic trunk latch, so i decided to look at the fuse box and found a little red button right next to it. What is that button and what does it do before i push it????

 

it is probably a valet button for an alarm

 

it doesnt have an alarm...

 

lol i have the same button in my fusebox in my 86 firebird, its tempting i know but ive never pressed that button, you should call your local chevy gm dealer and ask, thats your safest bet. Ive had my firebird for 7 years and never pressed it for fear it might mess somthing up

ok, well, i have officially pressed the button and absolutely nothing happened. I still cant get the auto trunk latch to work after putting in a new motor, anyone have any suggestions?

 

It probally was for an alarm but it was removed before you got the car.
