Question Rebuilt Engine

I have a 89 Iroc-z with the 305tpi. It has 129,000 miles on it and the engine is locked.. I was thinking of buying a rebuilt engine from Advance Auto Parts or AutoZone. Does anyone know of any troubles with their engines, and with store would be the best one to buy an engine at? Thanks for any help you can give.

Re: Rebuilt Engine

save some more money and get a 350 ...there are many to choose from and would be better than a 305 in power and performance parts ....trust me you'll be better off gettin any 350. Rather than payin 2 g's for a stock block with not alot of power ...try Summit or Jegs and look at some engines just to get an idea

Hi...I bought a GM crate 350 engine from D & J engines out of AZ. You will fine their listings on Ebay under engines of course. His name is enginebuilder and he usually will ship out for free if you do the buy it now!!....If you buy one from your chevy dealership they I believe are made in Mexico!!....
