rear view mirror placement

rear view mirror placement

ok my rear view mirror is not attatched to my windshield as of now and i cant see where it was supposed to go.....so could someone please give me the dimensions of its placement (ie. how many inches from the bottom of the top windshield rubber strip to the top of the little metal button that the mirror mounts to?)

I just checked my 89

from the lower edge of the rubber strip on the outside the the top edge of the metal mirror mount is 3 3/4 inches, centered on the glass(from side to side)

does the round part of the metal tab face up or down

round goes up, and make sure you put it on the right way

make sure when you put it on that your sun visors dont hit it when they are lowered.

Also for the glue to work properly the window and the metal block have to be clean, clean, clean.
