Exhaust is a huge issue. You'll probably have to have headers custom made for the car, and they will most likely have to come through the wheelwell because there won't be much room between the block and subframe.

Hood clearance may be a problem...you might have to run a cowl hood in order to fit an aircleaner in.

Get an aftermarket radiator and dual electric fans. I'd be surprised if the stock cooling system could keep up with a big block's heat production.

Otherwise, it shouldn't be that difficult. You may have to do a little fabbing for motor and tranny mounts, but you won't have to cut any chunks out of the firewall or anything. The car is gonna be VERY frontheavy when you're done...better plan on a big brake upgrade soon after the swap.

Im prettu sure you have to put new stiffer front springs in too. Because of all the extra weight as previously stated.

I think Hooker made a kit in the early-mid '80's. Maybe try to see if they still make it.

it has been done just make sure you don't have to change the plugs until 50,000. there is not much room left in there.

Actually changing 7 of 8 plugs with the BBC is easier than with the sbc. The #7 plug is the tough one as I can only get to it from underneath the car and that's with the hooker super comp headers.
