Ran my daily driver at the track...

Ok i decided to make a couple passes down the 1/8 in my daily driver (87 LT with a stock old-school 350, stock 700r4, and stock single traction rear with 2.73 gears). My best time was a 9.23@73mph taking off easily to avoid wheelspin. Just wondering how you guys think that stacks up for a stock motored 3rd gen. By the way anyone thats went to a posi with a 3.42 or 3.73 gear tell me how much my times might pick up with a rear swap?

Not bad at all. I think it is good considering the fact you have a one-legger and 2.73. Now you just need to get some 3.42/3.73 and posi.

That's not too bad at all, works out to around a 14.3-14.4 in the quarter approx, with a peg leg 2.73 not bad at all. Whats the setup on the 350, exhaust, etc?

It's just a 350 with a rebuild kit from Northern Auto Parts...flat tops, stock cam, 882 heads,it does have a Performer intake cause that's all we had laying around and a 670 Street Avenger. The car has some crappy home made duals that the guy i bought it from did. Actually I think the exhaust is hurting me cause it's like 1 3/4 tubing through 2 glasspacks.
