Re: quick questions 1987 iroc-z tpi 355

okay again, ill just take the good information i got here and try to solve my issues, I am pleased to see some people are willing to help me learn and help and others just point out my slang because i am on an I phone thats a pain to type on.

I will have the thread deleted so no one else will have to waste their time correcting my slang for carb and stall.

Thanks to everyone who help'd and not pick out my poor choice of words.

No one's trying to bust on you about your choice of words; and we're all looking forward to hearing when you get that 355 running like it should!

Man I think you are taking things WAY too far out of context.

Hey man lighten up. Words do make a difference stall means a tourqe converter that doesnt lock up untill you reach a set rpm, thats all he was pointing out. You will run into people like that no matter were you go. Heres the deal as I see it. You have spent a lot of time reading mag's and books so you have a lot of terms in your head, the thing is if you realy dont have a firm grip on engine building and tuneing you will get thing mixed up as far as terms go. If you have such thin skin on just this, then you wont make it. Most of us here have years put in doing this (building, tuneing ect..), so when somebody corrects you, the smart money is to listen and learn.

Re: quick questions 1987 iroc-z tpi 355

update, everything that i had going wrong is fixed now, i converted to carb which i should have done from the start so i would not have ran into the issues i did. The jerking i thought was from the Tq converter was because it was over fueling so much at idle with the fuel injection. Now that its carb'd all my issues went away also with the messed rough idle as well. Thanks everyone in here who helped me with ideas and correct terms to use i am very thankfull!
