Just wondering, on the cigarette lighter, are the tabs on the inside supposed to be bent towards the center of the lighter (like when you slide in the lighter does it push them ******ds) or are they supposed to be bent pointing towards the outside of the lighter?
Basically, I have one tab that is pressed against the side of the wall and one that is not. I am trying to figure out which way it is supposed to go because it keeps blowing my fuse for the dome lights, hood light, horn, etc.
I don't really smoke but I just want to have it there just incase and I really really need my horn back with some of the people that drive in Cinci here.
So if someone could just check that real quick on their car and let me know, I'd really really appreciate it.
I need help quick just because my whole car is torn apart at the moment (had to replace the light behind the vent setup).

 

In my car the tabs are straight up 90 degree angle off the bottom

 

Thanks for the help. I figured it out but didn't quite get it bent where it needs to be. That's ok though as I don't use it.
