Question on Compression
Alright heres my thouhgts on the 383 stroker that i want to build.
1988 Iroc
Holley StealthRam Intake
SLP 1 3/4" Headers
3.73 Gears
Custom Chip
XE276HR Comp Cam
1.6 Comp Pro Magnum Rockers
AFR 195 Heads 64cc
Flowmaster Exhaust
Ross Pistons Forged 13.4:1 w/ 64cc
SCAT Cast Steel Crank
4340 H-beam connecting rods 6"
2800 Vigilante Torque converter
This car is going to be for the strip and maybe the street once a month or so. Tell me what you think about this compression and also what kind of gas you think i should run. Any help would be great.

13.4:1 100 Octane is the only choice that high.
If you cut it down to 11.5:1 you should be safe on 93.
I would go with a little more cam than that. A CC306 would be a better choice for 383 cubes.
The rod choice looks good, Scat or Eagle H-beams will be a good deal on that.
The AFR heads are really good for that cc range. I would almost consider the 210's for the extra flow, they will flow like the 195 CNC ported ones and will not restrict your high RPM power on a 383 with too much port velocity. They should cost the same too.
I would run a single plane based intake just because of cost and the power available from a good version of one of these. Something based off a super vic would work great
Ditch the Flowmasters, in dyno test on a engien about like yours you could see 20hp gain going with a Dynomax or Magnaflow 3"

Cam needs to be bigger.
Stick with the Stealth Ram.
Make sure your tires are sticky and your suspension is good and SOLID as well as your subframes. Tie the subframes together for sure.
You should see 400+/- at the wheels with that.
I am shooting for somewhere near 300 at the wheels and I still have the stock head castings in the mix on a little 355.
