Thumbs down Pulls left badly when brakes are applied...HELP

A friend of mine has an '86 IROC. We just changed the front calipers yesterday because the car pulled HARD to the left when brake was applied. Well, after the caliper change it still does the same thing. We thought it might be a sticking caliper piston, and thats why we changed them out, but I guess that is not the problem.

Anyone know what he should try next? We did bleed the brakes after the work we did, but we did not flush the system completely. Would this be a good idea or would it not even matter?

Thanks!

I would relace the rubber lines too and reflush completely again.

Also, get up to cruising speed and pull the e-brake. If the car still pulls then you know its rear brakes instead.

If those don't help... sonds like you might need a new booster!

atleast change the right side hose. The hose will let fluid in but not out. Do it soon because there is also a chance of the pads crystalizing over from constant preasure. If you want o give it a good test take it for a 5 minute ride come back and spray the right wheel with water. There will be alot more steam and heat than the left side. Just my .02 hope some of this helps.

I would try swapping the pads from 1 side to the other. I bought and IROC and it pulled during braking. I changed caliper and hoses. Same thing. As a last resort I swapped the pads over and the pull became the opposite side. Put in new pads and the problem was gone. I never heard of it before. I inspected all pads and there was no indicators that they should be bad. Swapping only takes time and no money so might be worth a try.

Hey, thanks for all the suggestions!

We will try the pad swap to see if that brings anything to light, then work our way down the list of other stuff...
