Post Problems after Transgo install

just wondering if any of you guys might have any idea what is wrong here. did the transgo, and now 1st gear works fine, but it wont shift to 2nd until you let off the gas, and then just spins/coasts freely like you are in neutral unless you rev it up high and then it grabs, but if you let off goes back down to idle and coasts. there is no 3rd/4th at all. manually downshifts to 1st fine. removed some washers from the servo, didnt change things at all. swapped back to the stock servo setup, and still no change at all, so i doubt its anything having to do with that. fluid has definitly been full, and TV is working properly. i have done 3 shift kits before without any problems (none of them were transgo's though). after watching the whole video again and looking over the instructions i cant see where i did anything wrong, but obviously i messed up somewhere. any ideas? thanks guys

you sure you got all the check ***** correct? did you make sure you put the plate gaskets in properly(i.e.vb to the body, and "c" to the case? how do you know the tv is working properly? mine was doing some funky stuff like that too and I had to get a adapter bracket for my holley carb to make the linkage geometry correct for the 700r4. even w/that, I have to adj. the cable a little diff. than stock. (just making it click a couple times at wot isnt good enough) I had to keep adj. it tighter to get it close.
the prt about it feeling like neutral w/off the accel. is normal. thats to save wear and tear when decelerating so the trans isnt slowing the car down.(no compression braking)

do you have a carb or tpi?

i have TPI

a large copper checkball fell out when i took the valvebody/plate off, but i did not put it back in because there was nothing in the instructions or video about it. could that cause these problems? where would that go, and what does it do?

TV is working properly, the lever is just sitting against the plunger at closed throttle, and the plunger is fully depressed at WOT
