Question problems...

Sometimes, when i put my foot to the floor, my car decides it doesn't wanna excelerate(sp?) . It'll usually pull of the line, and then when it a certain point... it's usually been around 3, but varys... it doesn't accelerate anymore, sometimes on shifts it does the same thing. Had it do it on my while taking a turn after a stop... full gas, and going nowhere... please help

I thought it might be the tranny going, but i thought that if it was slipping that the RPMs would be going up, and not the speed... but neither goes up.

86 Z-28... wit the 350 if that matters

Is it down-shifting like it should, cause if it don't it'll bog down and not accelerate...more info??

as far as i can tell its downshifting properly. Like i said, it starts fine (usually) its just when it gets to around 3000 rpms that it bogs down and doesn't accelerate. idk, you'd really have to be there when it happens to see what happens. Any tests i can run through.. on the road or otherwise, to check for common problems? what might i listen for, or pay attention to next time i drive?

Have you tried doing a simple tune up? Plugs, wires, cap and rotor, fuel filter, adjust the carb if equipped and set the timing. Also, if you are using a carb, you might look into having it rebuilt if it's been on the car a while.

Sounds like a fuel delivery problem.

Have to check fuel pressure also. Change fuel filter too.
