Power windows sooo slow

Is this just the way these are? Or may they be on their last days?
Is there a write up on changing them out like the one I used for my 96-Z?
Just wondering, any help would be appreciated.

im not sure how much different it is on the 4th gens, but there is a great write-up of how do do one on a 3rd gen on www.thirdgen.org

With it going slow, i can say that the motor is on its last leg...

Good luck

FYI from my experience if your motor is working then it maybe time for you to open up the door and clean the rails big time. Completely relube everything once your done and you should see a 15% increase in the speed. I have done this twice. Also if you decided your motor just needs to be replaced stick with Delco and avoid the cheaper stuff. Also learned that the hard way

Thanks, will do that. And as for motors, I always stick with Delco.

Good luck on the window motors. I have replaced both sides 3-4 times, both with aftermarket and Delco. Now I just stick with (may I dare say) an autozone brand for its lifetime warranty. I also drilled into the inner frame for quick removal and installation of the motor since I figured this will be a routine practice.

As the motor assy. wears out they just run slower and slower. Then you replace it and be happy for a few years.

Mine are super slow. I always loved my 1980 Vette. It would go down in about 1 second. And up in 2 flat. I gotta get my IROC like that.
