Power window gets stuck
Power window gets stuck
I just installed them too Its my drivers side door. I didnt touch anything inside the door shell. Only thing I did was spray some white lithium grease. I swaped the whole door over. It was working fine earlier but then all of a sudden it gets stuck about 1/2 way and if I keep pressing the switch it makes a terrible noise. It also makes that noise one it goes all the way up. Any suggestions? Please help the Fresno sun is hot!!!
take off the door panel and see if the runchannel is binding up,
if its really cold out it may make the window harder to move.
try using dish soap and water on the rubber peices on the inside of the door and heavy grease on all the moving parts.
im not sure but i think all the components inside the door are held in by rivets except the glass?
you may want to try adjusting the parts that move a little to see if you get results that way.
it may just be the motor getting weak but this may fix it completly.

Ok, the door panels are off. Does the run channel run vertically? Its weird because it will go down fine and then stop and make this weird noise. Like something is not catching. It also makes the same noise once its fully up and I keep pressing the switch.
Also I was looking at how it goes down and up and the window is pushing the triangle seal. Maybe the window got out of alignment.

Sounds like the window regulator is stripped out. If you got the door from a junkyard take the car and show them the problem....pitch a fit if they won't give you a window regulator. Yell about how you paid for a good door, not a door with busted up internals.
sounds like the rear window on my lincoln.
it just kind of pulses and i have to pull the window up by hand.
the gears that the motor is connected to are chewed up and have to be replaced.
it sucks that all domestic cars use rivets. you just have to drill them out. and there isnt much room to work with inside the camaro door.

wtf!
You guys think its the regulator? It was working fine before. No signs of wear or anything. Then it decides to take a $hit on me
I know it probably is but I called a shop up to see how much it would be to fix it and i got quoted at 300!
