Question possable injector problem

I have had a little starting problem with my 1988 TPI 305 car. when the car is cold in the morning and it starts the engine turns over for less than a second and its running, but thats not the case at normal operating temp. If the car sits for about 20 min after shutdown when you go to restart it it will crank for 6-10 seconds and then it hits on about 2-4 cylinders then crack the throttle and bam its running perfect. Here are a list of things i have done and checked, first off NO check engine light and that is backed up by a scanner, second the throttle position sensor is set perfect at 0.54 -+.07 again backed by the scanner, third air filters are good, fourth fuel filter is new, fifth the fuel pump is new, sixth, fuel pressure is sitting at 42 psi at idle with vacuum and 50 without vacuum. I started the car with a fuel pressure gauge hooked up and shut the car off and fuel pressure bled off in about 4-5 min. which makes me think i have dirty injectors that is causing fuel to leak down into the cylinders and cause an instant flood condition, not to mention i smell fuel from the exaust when the car starts this way. If i am correct let me know and hopefully some one has a set of 19 or 21 lb injectors i can buy.

Re: possable injector problem

I had a similar problem in my brothers car, they say fuel pressure should hold at least 15min, but in my car it starts to fall off long before that, and will hit zero in half hour,

my bros 350 tpi car had leaking injectors, it would leak all the fuel pressure in like 15 seconds and it didn't have a hard time with cold starts
