try to back them all off a turn or so at a time until it starts. after it will start go through and adjust them all while running. to do this back them out one at a time until they start to tick, then tighten them until they stop ticking, then tighten anotherhalf turn or so. this is in my opinion the best way to adjust valve lash with hydraulic lifters. this can be time consuming, messy, and a royal pain, but is usually worth it.

Helps to cut the top out of an old valve cover and use it to control the oil dripping over the side of the heads and use rocker arm clips to control the pressurized oil coming out the pushrods.

I just went ahead and backed them back approx 1/4 turn and she is running fine (for the moment) I also noticed gas was leaking from the side of the TBI unit, so I just ordered a rebuild kit.
Thanks for all the help boys!!
