Ok guys i need some help, my 1991 Camaro RS with a 305 is having some problems. Ok heres the problem i have no power to my car at all, nothing no lights radio or anything and it wont even try to turn over. So we put a new alternator on it and a new battery on it, still nothing, no power not tring to turn over. We thought it might have been my bolt on my battery so i got a new one and it didnt fix it. There was twice that i had power to turn on lights and it would try to crank for a bout a second and then no power again. If anyone has any ideas please let me know. Im in desperate need for a clue on what to do. Thanks alot guys.

 

This is just a shot in the dark,but have you checked your ground cable and chasis connection. GOOD LUCK!

 

if your car works sometimes and not others check your battery cables to see if youre grounding out and check all of your connections. If its not grounding maybe theres a bad wire somewhere?

 

yea,it sounds like poor connections to me also. check the ground cables to the chassis,both cables on the battery and the wires going to the starter solenoid as well. and make sure none of them cracked,broken,freyed etc..
