piston ring question

i am looking at buying an 84 corvette with a fresh 383 in it, however the owner said that one ring isnt sealing yet but is letting very little blow by, is this a major problem or no big deal?

depends on how fresh and the break in procedure. if they used moly rings and did not set the block right they could take a long time to seat or need new rings.
