Pics of Weld Wheels! Lets see em'
I need to get an idea of what will fit under the car. If you ahve pix, that would help out immensely!! I'm thinking 15x10 or 15x8 in the rear, i would like to fit a 28x11.5.. Anybody have pix, Waht backspacing do you run, what fits best/looks best? So far in my search i've read that 5.5"bs is the best but i do not have any pix to verify this.. All the fast mustang guyz around her are running 28x12.5 in the rear! I need to size em' up boyz so help me out..

Weld makes a lot of types of rims. Exactly what type are you looking for?
I'm assuming the sizes you're quoting are slicks and not DOT tires. You're not going to fit 28 x 11.5 slicks under the fenders without doing sheetmetal work and if you do want that tire size, you're going to need to use the 10" rim.
Here's my car with Weld Drag Lites. 15 x 10 with 5.5 BS. 29 x 10 Goodyear slicks with inner sheetmetal work to get them to fit. If I had less backspace to clear the inner fenders, the tires would stick out too much.

Inner sheetmetal work for large tires will look something like this. Not my car but still good pics. My work is very similar.

There are a couple 3rd gens scootin' around here on 28x11.5 MT ET Streets and Hoosier QTPs, i dont know what backspacing they have (one is on stock iroc wheels, the other is a firebird on draglites, but i know for sure they dont have sheet metal work done. But that is the purpose for this thread, to give me an idea of what will fit and the work involved. I was told it could fit with some inner wheelwell masaging, how much i dont know, but i do no i dont wanna beat teh crap out of my car just to fit a tire under there.. any other input??
Thanks mike
Thanks mike

FYI a 28x11.5 ET Street is actually about the same size as a 28x9 ET Drag. The Difference is where M/T measures them.. ET Streets are sized by section width & ET drags by tread width. Fitting a 28x11.5 ET Street is no problem..

That's why in my first reply I mentioned slicks or DOT tires. Slicks are measured across the tread. The section width is always even wider. A DOT tire is measure across the section width. QTP, ET Street, etc are all DOT tires.
A 28 x 9 slick or equivalent DOT size won't need sheetmetal work.

I'm sorry for the confusion stephen, that definately answers my questions and confusions.
So would a 28x12.5 Et Street or Quick Time Pro fit with no problem? Or alittle wheel well beating.. The 12.5 should be equal to the 10.5 is that correct??
I didn't realize they were rated like that. Now if that 11.5 or even a 12.5 will fit, what size rim is best to go with a 15x8 or a 15x10?
