the 4 inch is sweet as long as you have the GO to back it up with. i myself am forced to get a big cowl because my manifold and air cleaner assembly is tall. id go with the 4 inch, as long as you dont mid the blind spot while driving

The cops like to bust you ***** around here with a hood like that, my buddy used to get pulled over all of the time for his 4" cowl. Are the cops strict around your area?

Unless it's a track only car or you need that much extra clearence.
Don't get that tall of a hood. I had one on my old Iroc and all you can see out the windshield is strait ahead and to your left. You'll have a hard time in parking lots, neighborhoods etc. It's hard as hell trying to guage where your pass. side nose is at all the time and I'm 6ft3.

here is a three inch harwood bolt on, it`s not too obstructive to see around.. alot better than a four inch. Three is all you need if you ever go big block. Nobody really ever notices it untill you see it from the side.

no the cops aren't relaly that strict...i don't think they would care too much about that...but i never thought about that whole blind spot thing....i guess i didn't think it was an issue, but now that i hear it is, i guess i'll have to rethink my plans....I was kinda thinking a ram air hood too, but i dunno if i really like it or not, maybe it'll grow on to me...i just don't wanna go below a 3 inch because than its really not even worth it, i think, its not noticable enough...anybody have pics of a camaro with ram air hood? I hear that ram air is good for like 30 poney's, is that true?

well i geuss it has to dp with how tall you are to.i have a 4'' cowl hood and i love it.i get lots of atention in it and i have no problem seeing to the right.as far as cops, let them pull you over for a hood, then thats harassment.anyways i have the glasstek and love it.

where did you pick up that 3 inch harwood? i can only find the 4 inch and the reg 2 incher in the catologs i have. i feel 4 inch will be too large for my tastes. im sure a 3 inch will clear my engine setup

as for the ram air on a camaro... please dont. only reason why i say this is because thats more of a trans am thing, to me anyways. i think when something comes out for one model and people vert it to another, it just looks wrong in a sense. its like an aero wing on a camaro... totally wrong. but you like what you like, its no big deal
