Panhard Bar or Trackbar?????

What is the proper name for the bar at the back of the car. I just swapped out the factory version & installed a BMR panhard bar, but I have noticed before when I worked on my daughters car, the manual called it a track bar.

Are they one & the same just called different by different people?

hmmm I've never heard it called a track bar, I'm assuming that yes different sources will call it different things.

I believe that its proper name is the panhard bar (or arm)

At GM parts counter, the torque arm is called the track bar.

I asked for a torque arm mount(cause i broke mine off the tailshaft) and they had no listing, so I looked on the explosion picture in their database, it was the called the track bar.
