i have 92 rs 5.0l tbi 5sp that runs 14.49@97mph[chip headers exhaust] 2.77 borg warner rear. the problems is i have 30 psi oil pressure at idle a little warm, but no oil coming out rockers. at full temp oil press. hit zero unless holding rpm's around 1100 1200 then only 8-10psi, does any one know what the problam? car runs just like it always has dont think its cam bearings, but dont know that much about eng. internals. someone told me oil pump, but how am i still getting any pressure if the pump is bad? any one know how to fix/test?

 

This reading your getting is it from the dash gauge or did you hook up a mechanical gauge?

 

stock gauge but i did test the gauge one from myz28 cluster one form my stock rs gauges they both read the same every time. i pulled distributer after i started car for one to two min. it had fresh oil all over it, but still nothing coming out rockers i miss my car!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

 

it was the oil pumpand the sending unit!!!!

 

What was wrong with the oil pump and sending unit?
