help!. i cant see where its from but its all over my headers. the collect tube under the car also the shortie mufflers i have. not from the valve covers. its leaking so much that its smoking. thought it blew up!!. but just leaks!!...john

If you're 100% certain that it's not the valve covers (those are a real problem area on small-block Chevys in general, could be a warped cover not allowing the gasket to seal), check the PCV valve as well as the grommet that holds the sucker in. On a car that age it could very well have dry-rotted. Also, I believe there's some weird kind of breather on the opposite side, check it, too. I'm not trying to assume you're not competent, but check the oil cap itself, it may be cracked or have a pinhole in it, and it would be real easy to overlook.

ah found it!!.its the oil pressure tube behind the intake..... that goes to the gauge inside the dash....fixed now i hope!!
