Cool New Interior- need feedback

I just finished up with the interior for my 86 Z-28 and some of you have already seen the updates (but some have'nt). So check it out and give me some constructive critisism (not that bull$$$ hating). I thought this out before hand and it's 98% finished except for an engraved P R N.. mirrored inlay and 145mph Iroc gauges to go with my white and blue flame faces.

nice work, man! I really like the custom sub enclosure. I also like the color combos. Did you re-cover the sail panels yourself? did you get them done professionally? if so, how much? I totally botched mine on my last "car audio" project

Glass etching

You should be able to get the mirror ingraved(or etched)at any fine jewlrey shop,or look-up glass etching in the phone book. If your into tools and have a compressor you can pick-up a Badger hobby sand blaster and do it yourself,it's easy to do. Good Luck.

looks nice man. The only thing i really hate is the stupid background on the site....ahhhh it was driving me nuts. But everything on the interior of the car looks sweet good work on the sub box.

All I`m gonna say is I don`t like it at all I`m not into that sort of thing and those gold wheels HAVE to go. any wheel but those It`s your car but I wish it wasn`t an IROC-Z I might feel alittle better if it was a sport coupe but not an IROC or Z28

I do like the engine modds but chevy never built a 305 4 bolt and I really like the bowtie out back

maybe if it`s going to be more of a high performance car but to me it looks to much like a car for hydrulics and stereo drags not what a IROC-Z is for

i took a second look and have a couple more comments. First of all as far as i knew all we were commenting on were the interior mods. The steering wheel is a no go. IMO everything on a car should serve a function. If you can make it look nice in the process thats a bonus but i dont like aftermarket steering wheels that are not race oriented. The seats are hurting. But the again the sub box looks really really well put together.

i dont think theyre really gold rims theyre just gold plated or in some way made to look gold. Doubt they are too heavy but agreed gold dont look right on a camaro. F-bodies are associated with gear heads and bad assed american muscle (especially third gens) and gold rims are for pimps.

He asked for CONSTRUCTIVE criticism, people. Be cool.

Personally, I think that you should rethink your choice in wheels...but that depends on what you want to use the car for.

I think that your interior shows a LOT of work and effort. I do think the blue is a bit overdone.

I LOVE the speaker box though!

I can tell you put alot of work into your car but the steering wheel has to go maybe a grant 3 or 4 spoked wheel would be better. Just like doug 791 said those wheels make your car look like a pimp car and F-body`s are not for pimping there for racing so just change the wheels back to the IROC-Z wheels and put a racing steering wheel in I think I`d like it more. I like the performance modds and really like the BowTie out back with alittle more work I think your car can look really cool.

Iwas looking at page 4 you should look at those wheels if you want big wheels the yellow Z28 with the tt2`s that are 18F 20R those look cool also the 18 iroc wheels are kick ***

how dare you

Those rims ruin the car totaly. Toss em and the steering wheel while you are at it. Its a racecar not a pimpmobile. enuff said

Wheels

Looks good, but I agree with the other guys. The 100 spokes are more for the cutlass/monte carlo body style. They are nice wheels, just not made for the f-bodies. Still nice work, i'm in the process restoring my ride now.

One thing that I really liked was the 4th gen fender emblem on the dash. my 87 Z8 says "Camaro" and i miss my yellow and orange "Z28" emblem from my 88 iroc.

and for gods sake man, replace the hood shocks!

Wood Trim

Dude, well everyone is against the steering wheel,I say,"if you like it keep it", that's what Custom is all about, the creator. However if you are going to keep that steering wheel you might think about some more wood trim, maybe on the dash. Before everyone starts flamming me,I'm not a big fan of wood in a race car,but it can look nice if done right. NOW, I will agree with everyone about the wheels TRADE then to the dude with the Montie, enough said. Again Good Luck with your endevor.
