I don't know too much about the truck, but in a 3rd gen swapping from a TBI to TPI is just about as hard as an LT1 swap. You already have a 350, so I personally would either go carbed or just upgrade the TBI unit.

First off why would you want to just to gain the tpi? If so then no and as far as that goes I'd carb it before I tpi-ed it. Gains are minimal form a good carb tune to tpi. Plus a carb has less crap to deal with.

You'd need to have the PROM from the TPI doner, and wire the injector harness to the wires going to your TBI. Then you'd need a high pressure fuel pump, since TBI is @ 14psi and TPI is @ 43-45psi. And replumb your fuel feed and return lines to match the TPI fuel rails, just from say the fuel filter to the motor.
Wouldn't be hard, if you take your time and get wiring diagrams etc.
The TPI would boost the low end torque for the truck, plus add some ponies, and since fuel is being injected right into the head port, it won't puddle under the TBI and should gain some mpg.
