I called up a few GM dealers and out of the two I got the following info:

1991 Chevrolet Camaro Z28
350 TPI L98 motor
MD8 Trans 4speed auto
part number for the TC = 24201202
part discontinued

Get yourself a 2000 stall converter from an L98 or LT1 Corvette. They're very plentiful in the aftermarket and a much better piece.

get a stall for a 98 S10 with the 4.3L engine....it would stall 2200 behind a stock L98, well worth it for the upgrade for a cheaper stall.

this is going into a 89 caprice 350 TBI 700r4 3.42 car
Lots of people on impalassforum had issues with the s-10 TC in their Caprices and Impalas that the TC is not up to the task - car too heavy.
