Question need some help

i have a delema i have a 91 z28 with 305 with about 97,000 miles on it. i have torn it down and found the rod and crank bearings to be worn a bit probally able to just replace them but thats not the problem. its the heads the valve guides ar worn the vslves just slap around. i called a few machine shops they want about $200 each head for the complete rebuild. and about $500 for work on the block and the parts to rebuild it . now my problem is should i rebuild it, or just buy a 350 for a parts house. if i was to get a 350 i dont know what to get as far as things from the 305 that wont work on the 350. any help would be very help full

Good but not good enough. Think bore and stroke. Think 383 with good internals. Think AFR heads. Think of lowering the compression so later you can slip on a blower.
