i dont live in indy but i can tell you a little about swapping in a 350. all you will need to do is go to a junkyard and pick a clean appearing 350 block, MAKE SURE ITS A 350, take it to an engine shop and have them take a look at it. if it turns out clean then build the bottom end however you want, my advice is to bore it out .030 and get a 350 rebuild kit from a place like jegs. make sure that if you do bore it out that you get .030 over pistons too. then find a retailer for pro lightning heads. these are great heads that flow as good if not better than a set of AFR 195 aluminum heads. the lightning heads go for about 700-800 a pair. then go to www.lt1intake.com and talk to john millican and have him set you up with a converted LT1 intake. drop in the motor and get a 350 chip to feed the injectors. you may have to have a custom prom burned so you might check into that. after that drive it until the 5 speed grenades and i GARUNTEE you that it will. find a cheap used 6 speed and drop in. and then have fun. that would be a nice recipe for a great running 355 SBC that *should* make around 400 hp or so.

also i didnt suggest a cam because i dont know what kind of driving you would need it for. if you go with that setup, call comp cams info line, (number located at www.compcams.com and ask them) they should be able to set you up with the PERFECT cam for your setup. hope this helps
