Q: True dual Exhaust

I have a set of long tube super comp. headers for my '91 Camaro and am looking for info. on how some of you have possibly got the true dual exhaust on their cars, if any. I also have the spohn adjustable torque arm on my car instead of the stock set up. I have thought about going to the 4" mufflex set up but I hate to spend all that money on it. If any of you have pics. of your exhaust that would be great. Thanks guys and gals!

1991 RS

I have true duals on my 1991 RS. I took out the torsion bar from the tranny and rear. See I bought a South Side machine subframe connectors. With that kit you take it out. I ran two 3 inch pipes down my transmission valley.

Ebay has some kits available that split at the cat, into two 3" pipes with 40 series flowmasters and 3" chrome pipes over the axles and to the stock locations. Keeping in mind that it is not "true" dual exhaust ..... it sounds badass and beats just having a single muffler. Would be a unique thing too, not too many people bother with diff exhaust on f-bodies, other than dif mufflers and stuff. Check it out

Yep

What I said is I got true duals. I don't have single into duals. It is all in preference. There is a guy in my town who wanted to build a 454 Thirdgen with 5.13 gears and a 27 inch tire. lol

People, People, People!! The word is DUAL not DUEL. this is from Dictionary.com:

Dual: Composed of two usually like or complementary parts; double: dual controls for pilot and copilot; a car with dual exhaust pipes.

Duel: A prearranged, formal combat between two persons, usually fought to settle a point of honor

I know I got my 3 in SLP for under a grand and I believe you can get a 4 in mufflex one for less than a grand. The SLP is mandrel bent but not a dual exhaust.

I also don't believe there is a performance difference other than the sound and being able to tell your buddies that you have a true dual exhaust system. I disconnected the exhaust from the collectors back and ran it and noticed no difference, at least on the track.
