need help car wont stay running!

need help car wont stay running!

hey guys i just got back from vacation i started my car up yesterday and it was running fine, the only thing i noticed was that when you reved it up it would quit running after the rpms dropped, so this morning i came out and tried to start it, and once you get it started it wont stay running unless you keep holding the gas pedal! anybody have any idea what this could possibly be please any help would be great!

sounds like an EGR valve is clogged/bad to me.

Check for vacuum leak.

The same thing happened to my 87 IROC, does the car run fine until it gets warm? Mine would run fine until it got warm then it would just stall, I took apart the IAC(idle air control) and cleaned it really good, right after this the problem stoped, that is what i would recommend doing, clean the IAC and see if that works, keep us updated, hope this takes care of the problem!!!!!!

bottom of the TB. take off all the intake stuff and the MAF and the rubber piece that clamps onto the TB (if its TPI) there are 2 holes on the bottom that lead to the IAC.

TB=Throttle Body
