does anyone know if i need my catalytic converter in NC, if not should i take it off, will it make a diff in performance as well as sound? thanks

 

I took both of mine off and welded in pipes where they used to be. before I did this I could not tell I had a Flowmaster muffler, but the sound of the car after I did this is great. My car is a 92 Z28 5.7 TPI, All stock except for exhaust, SLP runners, Holley airfoil, and modified airbox. The only drawback to this is getting the car inspected, but luckily they are not that strict around here yet. Hope this helps.

Yeah, I passed; I have been going to the same station for years and they know I like to modify things. Beaufort is no where near Mooresville; it is on the east coast near Atlantic beach. The drag strip I go to is in Jacksonville.
