my exhaust is getting me stoned.......

well, i have headers, hooker catback, no cat, and no AIR tubes what so ever. I've always been fine before, untill i got my car tuned. when i stomp on it, the exhaust seems to be getting inside the car. i feel stoned after a few races or WOT blasts. giving me headaches. lol i was just wondering if anyone knew my problem. maybe a leak at the header collector??? i've never had this problem before, untill i got it tuned right. now it makes me want to puke, when the windows are up or slightly cracked. help!?!?!?!?

You are right - you have an exhaust leak somewhere. I had a similar issue awhile back until I got it into a muffler shop, and they saw the problem right away. A couple of areas had leaks. Everything was fixed and the car not only stopped smelling of exhaust in the car, it also ran smoother and sounded better.

i think i definately have a leak. it sounds kinda raspy at low rpms' like an old truck on glasspacks. i had the leak checked before, only to find that it was fixed witrh nothing more than some foam spray stop leak. I'm not sure what to do, but I'm not paying money to have it fixed. i had the y-pipe custom made, and it hasn't been sealing right ever since. I'll go check it out again
