MSD6AL mounting

anyone have any interesting mounting positions I could use for this, I was thinking of makign a plate some how and mounting it on the passenger side some place, and suggestions would be great, pictures would be even ebtter

i know some guy who mounted it right by the from strut in on the drivers side of his camaro it look pretty good!

Mine is next to my charcoal canister on the outside edge, standing verticle...on the driver's side front (in case you didn't know where that was).

Fits real nice there, and has a direct/short shot to my coil (but I have an LT1, so it may work better for me than for others).

Just don't mount it to the top of your intake manifold. LOL. Just this last weekend I saw a kid with an LT1 and his 6AL mounted to the TOP of his LT1 manifold (he has a 4th Gen). It was screwed right INTO the manifold. I couldn't believe it...

thats pretty nuts, yeah I'm running right now the distributor with internal coil, so I may have to extend wires a little, but I'll checkt hat out when I get home, thanks.

Here's where I put mine -




I had a flat peice of steel laying around, bent up the end of it...and screwed it into that little metal lip that comes off the fender. It's pretty sturdy and looks good too!

I used a 1/8" piece of aluminum and bolted it to the washer fluid jug and to the wheelwell. Fits nice and stays cool. I haven't had a reason to move it yet.

I finally installed mine today and mounted it in the car under the rear of the passenger front seat...
