Motor Swap Questions...

I'm thinking of pulling the 305 TPI out of my car and replacing it with another 305 TPI from a 91 Trans Am. My first question is: Will the fact that the Trans Am has VATS hurt me? If so, how do I get around it? Second: Will the computer like seeing a 700r4 instead of a 4L60 (Using the ECM from the Trans Am)? If I'm forgetting anything else, Please let me know. Thanks!

y do u want to replace a 305 w/ another 305? id pull the motor from either car and sell the TPI setup off one of them on ebay or somethin and save money for a 350 to put in instead of another 305. ull already have the motor out so y not (unless u cant be outta the car a little while). if u sell the whole TPI setup w/ wireing harness and ECM u should be able to get decent money for it. just my thoughts
