motor mount question?

motor mount question?

will a pontiac and chevy 350 have the same motor mounts????

anyone know?

yes they do, if you are talking about your third gen refering to your list in your sig.
if your doing this motor in its gonna be a bit tight in the eng bay but as for reaching the nuts in hte K member behind the spring, use a knuckle and a loooooooooong extension. also tape the knuckle so it stays put and dosent woble and dump the nut as ya reach in.

i did a motor swap once, but my buddy spun a bearing so i gotta do it again, so i am gonna take the pontiac 350 that i have laying around and put it in the lil ole 3rd gen

now that changes the game a lil. i dunno if that Olds 350 will bolt right in. i was under the assumption this was a 350 from a third gen firebird. go to WWW.THEFORMULASOURCE.COM and ask around. there are some classic bird guys there that can SURELY andswer that ques.

mounts are different, not even sure if the motor will physically fit in the bay

Bellhousing is different. The B-O-P-Caddy bellhousing is different compared to the Chev SBC/BBC engines. You'll need to change the tranny or find one with a dual bolt pattern.
