Hey guys. I really want to put together a powertrain that can do mid 11s at sea level in my '88. I am thinking of going with a 388 cid motor, I have a solid roller cam 242/248 duration (.570/577 lift) and 112 lsa. I have been considering a pair of Victor Junior heads as I can get a set for a good price. The pistons will be forged, 6" forged rods, and about 10.3:1 CR. Victor intake and 750 holley. The car right now has Hooker Shorty headers and single 3" exhaust. Might have to change that.

The tranny is a th350 with about 3000-3200 stall. Gears right now are 3.27s, but I might look into getting 3.73s of 4.10s.

What suspention do you guys run? I want to run 26" tall slicks.

Sorry for so many questions, but does anyone know about what kind of rwhp is needed for mid 11s in this car. It is about 3600 lbs with me in it.
