metric guages?
metric guages?
So, at long last I have a new firebird (yay!)!! It's an 85 4 bbl. Now my question is, can i get new guages for it? They're metric because I'm assuming the car is from canada (there are canadian coins in the ash tray). I'd really like some of the newer electronic guages like I had in my '88 formula, one because they look cooler, and two because i'd like one of the higher speed ones. How hard would that be to swap? and if its too hard to change to a higher speed, could i switch to an 85 mph electric guage (along with the rest of the guages)? or if thats too difficult, could i just switch to a mechanical standard guage?
Onto another weird question, is the headlights. If you just flip the switch on, the lights wont go up. but if you press the switch lightly about halfway, they go up (although the right one moves slower then the left), then you click the button in all the way in to keep them up. then, when you turn them off, sometimes neither go down, sometimes one goes down (sometimes the left, sometimes the right) and occasionally they both go down with no fuss. whats a matter with them? the guy said its just the switch, are the contacts dirty or something weird? and if thats it, will i need a new motor for the slow moving right light? thanks a lot for your help guys, i know im bein a pain in the butt
