Major undetaking AKA project resurrection!

Im back in the game! Here is the car thats getting a second chance:
1989 Camaro RS V6 Auto, Hardtop. This car is in bad shape!! Front end is nearly missing. Here are some pics!

The Plans: Phase one- 9 Second Drag car

Chasis:
Pull off fiberglass front clip
Tubuluar front K-member
Full tubular drag front suspension (tubular upper&lower A-arms, Drag spring and shocks)
Boxed Subframe connectors
Full boxed rear suspension (Lower control arms, Panhard rod)
Chrome moly torque arm
10 gallon fuel cell

Drivetrain:
Engine Still under debate (Planning on Carbed Small block bored big with one or two power adders I.E. Blower with 2 stage nitrous) 600-700 HP range
Trans: turbo 350 or 400 with all goodies (reverse manual valve body, trans brake)
Rear end: 12 bolt with either 4:11 or 4:56 gearing and Locker

Body:
pull off Fiberglass front clip w/ pull off fiberglass hood
Interior stripped and 12 pt cage
2 racing seats
Sheet metal dash and door panels
Full auto meter gauges
Custom paint

Phase 2- ***** to the wall

Switch to fiberglass doors and rear deck
Full tubbed rear with narrowed 9-inch
Adjustable 4 link
Big block engine with Blower and multiple stages of nitrous 800-1100 HP range
full race TH400
X the Chasis
switch to chrome moly suspension pieces

This will be a well thought out and executed build that will take time. Phase one will hopefully be completed in 1.5 -2 years. Phase 2 proably 2 years after that.

I am very excited about the build and i look forward to taking a poor forgotten 3rd gen to the glory and speeds its never seen.

The car was practically free and i am very realistic about the amount of funds it will take to get where i want to be. I figure after fixing the front end ill be about where i would have been if i bought a good shell car. The nice thing is that i will basically have a fiberglassed front clip shell car for the same anount of money. I had to sit down and weigh out the pro's and con's of taking the car on. I am planning on at least 12-16 k for phase one of the project. That spanned over a couple years wont be too bad. Ill keep pics posted of the demo and build. I figure this car could make a pretty cool story! There always has to be a story behind the car, that makes it more personal!
