It's all subjective. For someone to say that Hooker makes the "best" headers, is only his opinion as it isn't something that can be proven.

It all depends on what you want to do, what you want to spend, etc, etc.

Everyone will have their own opinion...so this basically just asks people what exhaust system they have as people generally get what they think is the best.

My car has Edelbrock headers and a flowmaster (probably a 40 series), and it sounds wicked!

Random cats are super high flow but cost way to much, a catco will still out flow stock and is very close to the Random.

You have to look at the flow # from each company. Then you have to look at $. I used a Dynomax system (cat back) because it flowed the best for the money at the time. I use the TES system as they flow good for the investment. I would use the Hooker Supercomp LT if you have mods to support them. For the money they are a good deal and will give you more top end power than shortie headers. It all comes down to what your mods are and how much you want to spend.

the hedman shorty headers and y-pipe comes with a 2.5 inch y-pipe. I do not recommend. I think the edels come with 3.0 inch y. Don't know about the others.

teh real story with cats is that even the "high flow" ones barely flow more than a regular aftermarket one. teh highest flowing cat on teh market is actually used by gm in production vortec trucks. i forget teh part number off hand, but it is a 3in/out unit that you can get from your local parts counter. a magazine did a comparison of 5 or 6 cats a few years ago. i know random and autosound were both in it as well as replacement and stock units and the gm one flowed teh highest cfm.
