LT1 Cam Dowel Pin Q

When putting in a SBC, what do we need? Longer, shorter, or both? Thanks.

Pull it out, or grind it down. Its of no use to a sbc.

since his question was answerd im not really "hijacking" this...

im running a carbed LT4 motor so i was wondering how much force it takes to tap in the dowel pin...the cam i have has the pin sticking wayyyy out,..and i dont want to cut it becasue i just dont..my stock cam still has the pin in it but its in a lot farther then the 224-230 that im ready to install

Thanks guys

i installed it today...since in runnig a carb and no opti the opti block off plate covers it up...it didnt dawn on me untill i got it all apart..i was like "heyyyy well look at that"....

it was fun turing the cam by the dowel pin and seeing the lifters friggin launch off the small side lol...this is pretty lumpy to the stocker that came out lol..
