LT headers and 350 conversion

Hey guys I got an 83 with a 305 carbed and I want to drop in a 350 that I have been working on. What will I need for the converison and will flowtech longtubes fit? I know flowtechs arent the greatest but I want to get the car running first before I really start to build it. Its manual (5speed) and the flowtech instructions says they wont fit manual montecarlos but doesnt say anything about camaros and i dont want to take any chances. Give me your thoughts and advice. First time in the chevy world.

Also do any of you guys have pics of any 83s like mine that i could see. Also what mods and times youve gotten out of them. Im interested in hearing from some of you guys so i can get some ideas of what to do with this car. Like I said first time in the chevy world so let me hear your thoughts.

I have an 83 too. Out of suriosity what is the 8th digit of your VIN number? YOu might have a first year H.O. Kinda rare.

Anyway the only LT headers that will fit are the Hedman and the Hooker. They are a bit pricey though at $350 uncoated. SLP shortys are about the same they come in 1 3/4 and are coated plus come with a Y-pipe. You might want to look into that. I don't have any pics of my 83 in its current state. only when i first bought it and it is alot different now.

I put all 91-92 body panels on my car including the GFX. Swapped in a 406 and a T-56, 4th gen rear-end. The best thing about 3rd gens is the parts you can borrow from the newer ones. Any 4th gen rear-ends or seats bolt right in with no modification. ( might have to get a little creative with the brake lines.) got any other questions feel free to post.

Hooker super comps (long tubes, 1 3/4, they are also coated) cost about $560. They are well worth the money, you only have to buy them once and will last forever. So if you have the money go ahead and spend it on some good headers.

I dont have much knowledge of the earlier 3rd gens but ill watch for ya and try to help with what i can too.
