You'd need an LS1 harness, computer, engine, engine mounts, etc, etc...

www.thirdgenresource.com has some good parts for the swap! Goodluck

I think you need the conversion headers too, which can be had from www.thirdgenresource.com as well. The swap requires too much $ IMO. Cool factor = though!

the ZO6 motor is just the beefed up and tricked out LS1 motor, which should all have the same dimensions (except headers...but you need a conversion anyway).

i see GM perf parts has a 320hp LS1 crate motor for like $6000 or so, including all wiring harness and sensors. that could be worth it, if nothing else it would be "different" at car shows.

Once you figure out how much the swap costs, it comes out to being able to buy this:

305 Horsepower, 330 ft lbs torque

or This:
427ci, 505 horsepower

ok so i was off on the price. but we all know the sick power and easy upgrades to the LS1 engines. and the cool factor would be just awesome.

everyone does a carbed crate motor swap into 3rd gens...even alot of lt1 swaps...but not many ls1 swaps.

before you install it, throw in a nice cam and maybe some headwork and you're putting out 400hp at the crank.

Headwork and a cam plus headers and you SHOULD be looking at almost 400 at the WHEELS.

Cost wise also, even if you did a brand new LS1 crate engine plus all of the needed swap parts, you'd be right there with a stout old school SBC buildup. Now figure in gas mileage(20-25mpg for an LS1), strength of internal parts, and cool factor and the LS1 wins. Add boost or nitrous to make your dreams come true..

FYI...there is a local car here making 580rwhp on a Mustang dyno and 600rwhp on a dynojet with 12PSI from an Intercooled Incon Twin turbo kit and a little race gas nothing else....I'm serious That screams cool!
