Lots of heat soak

After I have been driving my car for a while I can just feel the heat soaking through the area around the pedals. I can also feel it near where the air controls are and the radio. What could be causing this?? I have some knock right now and I am about the change the knock sensor to fix that, would this be causing a lot of heat. My temp gauge stays around 170-190* the whole time.

That's pretty normal. These cars make alot of heat and the exhaust runs down the transmission tunnel which builds alot of heat in that area. My 3rd gen always did that and the inside of the console in my 4th gen gets very warm on a 20 mile trip as well.

Are you running headers? Headers are notorious for causing this problem also. You could try a header wrap if it's to bad.
