Long Tube For LT1 swap 3rd Gen

Yes I know they make long tubes for LT1 4th gen f-body's but I'm putting a LT1 in my 3rd gen. So I was wondering if maybe any of the 4th gen long tubes would possible work. Or if anyone know where I can get a pair of custom long tubes for my 3rd gen swaped LT1. The heads have been done by Llyod Elliot Port works for additional info. Ive really want to be able to run long tubes so help!

Yea some one told me that but I wasn't sure already got a pair that I have to send back. Also do I just run the LT1 gasket so it seals up with the big primary's swallowing the D-ports? What headers do you suggest I get; guessing Hooker the best for our cars long tubes style.

I got the coated Hookers and love em.You may have some rub issues on the pass side lca mount. And some brake lines rubbing on both sides. The pass side one is especially close to header.I just used a regular sbc header gasket and worked out just fine.

I have a 92' Z28 with a 406 and hooker long tubes worked just fine. Don't get the 4 gen headers for your 3rd gen. Won't work. I too had some clearence issues with the pass. side but worked it all out. Just use the sbc gaskets like 91lt1 said and you'll be fine.

I have the same headers and I had quite a time putting them in. I've heard of some people having a few issues getting them to work, and I've heard of some people have a lot of issues. Unfortunately for me, I had a hard time with them. The driver side went in absolutely flawless. No problems whatsoever. The passenger side required much more work. I had to cut the A-arm mount almost completely off, and still had to dent the header. And then there was the brake line clearence issue. As well as the knock sensor location. I moved the knock sensor to the other side, and just relocated the brake lines, but the A-arm is pain in the butt. But I guess when it is all said and done they still are better than shorties.

Rage that is a nice and very clean Irocz you got there. When you get all the work done it is certainly worth it, good luck.
