Long Tube Headers?

I swear I've seen long tube headers in the magazines...but now I look and all I see for third-gens are shorty-headers.

First question: do they make long-tube headers? If you've got them, what kind, and how much of a pain are they to install? I want to make a dual exhaust setup...not concerned about smog.

Second question: Are shorty headers just as good? What would you guys do? Oh by the way, this is a driveway project, I don't have the cash to get it done in a garage.

I ran hooker super comp long tubes on my '89. They are not cheap, but will do what you need. You will nearly need to pull the motor to install them though.

I put Hooker Long tubes in my 83. Jacked the car up as high as I could get it. And they install from underneath. Did not have to take the motor out or anythign like that. You will need a mini-starter though as the big factory style will not fit.

I guess that I was running a road race oil pan which explains why I had to install headers and motor together.
