I don't run long tubes so I'm not sure on the ground clearance question. I would imagine that there would be some clearance issues as the 3rd gen F-Bods really don't have much space for two mufflers. It can be done, but the mufflers will have to be placed in an area where they were not designed to hang - meaning they would hang lower than any standard single muffler application. In terms of the dual cats, this would result in a horsepower increase, for example, the 87 GTA ( like mine ) was rated at 210 horse stock ( single cat ). The next years 88' GTA, had 225 horsepower stock, much of this increase is due to the dual cat set up.
I've got a brand new set of hooker LT's that are Jet hot coated. I'll sell them for 500 with Stainless steel ARP bolts and all the gaskets. E-mail or call.
BTW Ground clearance is very good w/ these.
